Does the Hotel Have an API or Traditional PMS?

API

•  Refer to the API Guidebook for next steps.

Traditional

• Is the connection Serial or TCP/IP?

Serial 

• Refer to the Serial Guidebook.
• Also, ensure to take 9-25 pin converters, null modem adaptors, and new serial cables. 
• Determine the serial settings, including baud rate, parity, data bits, and stop bits, if possible. 

TCPIP

On Prem

• Using TCP/IP with Serial Box
• Agree on which side is client or server (Serial Box works Either Way),
• Confirm the port being used (recommend 5555 and 5556 must be above 1025)

Hosted

• Use Serial Box. Ports must be opened in the firewall and the NAT port forwarding setup.
• Contact the Network management company before installation day.
• Agree on 1 or 2 ports to use and forward (must be above 1025; exclude 5060 or TCP ports).
