How do I Activate or Deactivate a Social Media/Blog Account?

You must have access to the partner portal and the Partner Tools Portal. Please get in touch with the partner team to request access. When logged in to the partner portal, you can immediately see if you have access, as you will see the Partner Tools Menu Icon. Before activating social accounts in Partner Tools, please ensure that you are logged out of your Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn accounts. The provider needs to request verification to activate the social accounts.

 

Once you are logged in to the Partner Tools application to activate or deactivate your social media or blog profile, click on your user profile icon (1) on the upper right-hand corner of the screen and then click on (2) the "View" option from where you update the User Profile. Ensure you are clicking on the application profile (for Partner Tools) and not your Partner Portal profile.

Note:

Before activating the social media accounts in the Partner Tool, please ensure that you are logged out of your Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn accounts. Otherwise, it will not ask for verification.

 

Your User Profile Page loads.

  1. Click on the "Activate Social" tab.
  2. To toggle a social media/blog account between active and inactive, click on the blue hyperlink text next to the social media icon.

Clicking on the blue hyperlink text will lead you to 

the respective social media/ blog account window, where you can sign in to activate the particular social media/blog account. However, if you are already activated, clicking on the blue hyperlink text will deactivate your social media/blog account, and your "Status" in front of the social icon will be changed from "Active" to "Inactive."
