Configure Snom PA1 SIP Adapter

- Access to the Portal with a minimum of Office Manager or higher credentials.
- You must be able to login to the Snom PA1 SIP adapter to follow instructions on this page.
- Refer to the Snom PA1 user guide for the default IP address.
- If you are not using a POE (Power Over Ethernet) enabled netword, you must have a POE injector or usa a standard Snom power supply.
The reference below provides instruction on how to access and operate the Snom PA1 adapter:
Step 1 - Create the SIP Extension
- The Paging extension should match the System Extension Number guidelines, using 5800 for "Page All" extensions. To add a system user for this purpose, view this article: "Working with Users." Ensure that you have recorded the login credentials for the user you created.
Step 2 - Add the Device to Inventory
- Leverage the article "Working with Inventory" if you need assistance in adding the Snom PA1.

Step 3 - Configuring the Snom PA1
Log in to the PA1 (default password is password)

Navigate to the Setup - Identity 1 page.

- Under the Login tab, populate the following fields on this page:
- Displayname = Enter any text name
- Account = Enter the SIP extension number provisioned in Step 1
- Password = Enter the password of the SIP extension
- Registrar = Enter <Domain.ltd>
- Outbound Proxy = sip.siplogin.ca
- Authentication User Name = Enter the same SIP extension number as the Account field
- Press the Apply button at the bottom of the page
- Then click the Save link that appears at the top of the page
- Click on the SIP Tab at the top of the Identity 1 page
- Change the value in the Proposed Expiry field to 60
- Click the "Apply" button and then click the "Save" link that appears at the top of the page
